How are your talking to yourself? Are you being kind, helpful, and motivating or are you tearing yourself down with every word?  We all have our days of looking in the mirror, being less than enthused at what we see…try to rewire your thinking.  Talking positively to yourself isn’t easy right off the bat, you have to practice often. The more you practice the less negative self-talk that will happen within you, which will help you reach your goals!

Every time you look in the mirror from now on and a negative thought comes into your head, as fast as possible find something to compliment yourself on! It can be anything, big or small. Just start doing it to see what happens.  For me, it helps to be more positive and to make more positive choices throughout the day. When I find myself being negative, I tend to make less than desirable choices, which prolongs me from reaching my goals. So for me, positive comments are the way to go!

It takes a while to change your self-talk, but once you start catching yourself saying negative comments and quickly switching them to positive comments it is truly life changing!!  If you realized how powerful your thoughts are you would never think a negative thought again.

To move forward you need to like who you are now and who you will be! You are a beautiful person no matter your size, shape, or weight! Those can all be good guideposts on our journey to a better self, but always remember how great you are now and how many people love you just the way you are!

Visualization is a powerful tool! Your mind starts to believe what it hears and sees over and over.  Start visualizing how you feel, look, what you’re doing when you’ve reached your goal. Start talking to yourself like you would when you’ve hit your goal.  Notice how differently you start behaving and carrying yourself over the next few weeks!
